Drug counters or pharmacies are mandatory facilities for every hospital. However, there are still many queues which are quite crowded at the drug collection counters, especially on busy days. This problem also occurs at the Regional General Hospital of Sumbawa Regency. Queue problems that occur must be resolved optimally so that the customers feel satisfied with the services provided. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate the queuing system at pharmacies using the queuing theory method. Based on the results of the analysis, that the existing queuing system, namely the use of one service counter or single channel single phase, is still not optimal in overcoming the number of queues at the pharmacies every working day because there is still a steady state (ρ) greater than one, which means there are customers who still long queuing in the system. Therefore, it is proposed to add another counter to make two service counters on every working day so that it meets the steady state condition (ρ) and the number of customers in the queue (Lq) is 1 to 2, while the waiting time for customer in the queue (Wq ) is 1.464 to 2.58 minutes, where the time is more optimal than the queuing system that has been implemented so far, namely an average of twenty minutes.
