“…Modomo/Kajola is a quite fresh community in the ancient town of Ile-Ife, Osun State. As a result of its closeness to two main tertiary institutions of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, and Oduduwa University, Ipetu-modu (OUI), it is reported that the community is experiencing a fast rise in population and development (Oni et al, 2020). The growth in population and development of properties in the community was due to an increase in requests for accommodation by staff and students of these institutions and other residents.…”

“…The magnetic method is probably the most versatile of all the geophysical methods (Dobrin and Savit 1988) because it can be applied to both shallow and deep seated targets. Magnetic method has emerged a powerful tool in groundwater prospecting in recent years due to its ability to reveal lineaments (folds, faults, joints and fractured zone) which may serve as openings for groundwater accumulation and storage (Oni et al, 2020;Abdulkareem et al 2018). The lineament derived from aeromagnetic data is superimposed with the lineament from remote sensing data to generate a combined lineament map for the study area using the ArcGIS tool for more accurate groundwater potential zone delineation.…”
