“…Obese girls often experience earlier menarche (often before 10 years) compared to normal weight girls, which links increased body weight and body fat (Yung, 2009). Dietary intake of lipids from childhood tracks the lipid profile to adulthood, thus, high levels of saturated fatty acids, with low levels of polyunsaturated fat acids and dietary fibre predispose children to a risk of chronic diseases such as cardiovascular, insulin resistance and body weight gain (Fowler et al, 2021;Kmiecik et al, 2016;Rauber et al, 2014;Smpokos et al, 2014).
