Abstract:Real-time reverse transcription (rRT)-PCR, which is the reference standard for the diagnosis of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection, generally involves a time-consuming and costly RNA extraction step prior to amplification.
