Abstract:The corrosion inhibition behavior of Tetra-n-butylammonium bromide (TBAB) on mild steel (MS) in 1N HCl was investigated through experimental and theoretical studies. Inhibition efficiency is found to have increased by a rise in the concentration of TBAB. Experimental (weight loss study, potentiodynamic polarization, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy) results suggested that TBAB exhibits better inhibition efficiency. Thermodynamic studies were discussed. TBAB on the mild steel surface obey Langmuir adsorpt… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
