Abstract:Background and Objectives:
1,5-Anhydroglucitol (1,5-AG) is an emerging marker in the acute assessment of glycemia. 1,5-AG has been shown to be associated with glycemic excursions and also been found to have association with microvascular complications of diabetes and atherosclerosis. This study aimed to evaluate serum 1,5-AG concentration in newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes patients and find the correlation between serum 1,5-AG concentration and blood glucose concentration.
