Abstract: Background: Ayurveda strongly recommends the Panchakarma (Purification or detoxification therapies), e.g., Vamana (Therapeutic emesis) & Virechana (Therapeutic purgation) etc., in healthy persons for the prevention of the diseases & maintenance of the health.
