Evaluation of in-vitro apoptosis induction, cytotoxic activity of Hymenodictyon excelsum (Roxb) Wall in Dalton’s lymphoma ascites (DLA) and Lung fibroblast - Mouse L929 cell lines
Abstract:The purpose of present study was to investigate the methanolic bark extract of Hymenodictyon excelsum (Roxb) Wall for its apoptosis, cytotoxic activities. Induction of apoptosis was carried out on L-929 cell line. The cytotoxic activity was evaluated by MTT assay against lung fibroblast (L-929) cell line and trypan blue dye exclusion assay on dalton's lymphoma ascites (DLA) cells. Morphological changes and DNA fragmentation were found upon incubation with extract. The extract was found to be cytotoxic towards … Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
