Abstract:The emergence of metallo-β-lactamase (MBL)-producing Enterobacterales presents unique clinical treatment challenges. Recently developed β-lactam/ β-lactamase inhibitor combination agents, while effective against other carbapenemase-producing organisms, are notably ineffective against MBL producers.
