Evaluation of fish oils in amelioration of diabetes-induced tissue dam-ages in mice (Mus musculus)

Abstract: Prolonged diabetes leads to multi-organ damages due to oxidative stress. Fish oil rich in omega-3 poly unsaturated fatty acid is known to reduce the oxidative stress. The present study has been aimed to evaluate the ameliorative effect of two fish oils extracted from Sardinella longiceps and Rastrelliger kanagurta, in diabetes-induced tissue damages in liver, kidney and heart tissues of mice, Mus musculus.
