“…The sorption process was also realized on ethanol, but the hydrophobicity of proteins, which is characteristic of precipitants, was revealed here (Elkasaby, Utkarsh, Syed, Rizvi, Mohany, & Pop-Iliev, 2020) Table 3 shows the values of the physical parameters of layered nanomaterials: the relative surface of the nanofiber (Sотн) the total volume of existing nanopores (Wо) and the average radius of the pore-capillaries (rк). As noted in the above, the number of sorption parameters in water is relatively small, this is due to the peculiarities of revealing in the sorption process the hydrophilic nature of fibroin and the hydrophobicity of the acrylonitrile copolymer.…”

“…In terms of lightweight textile acoustic materials electrospun nanofibres are known for their enhanced sound absorption properties. 8,9 Electrospun nanofibres have an advantage of high surface area to volume or mass ratio. 10,11 The high porosity and mechanical performance of electrospun membranes enhance their sound absorption applications.…”

“…The sound absorption performance of electrospun micro/nanofibers can also be influenced by adding fillers in the polymer solutions. Elkasaby et al [ 86 ] reported that the sound absorption coefficient of electrospun polyvinyl chloride (PVC) nanofibers is influenced by adding CNTs. The addition of 5 wt% CNTs in PVC nanofibers increases the sound absorption by 62% compared with PVC electrospun nanofibers, and the sound absorption coefficient of the composite reaches the maximum value of 0.4 at 800 Hz.…”
