The article presents results obtained during testing of concrete based on CEM I 42.5R Portland cement, fine and coarse aggregate, glass, volatile ash, and superplastifier. The concrete mixture was modified using filler consisting of bromosilicate heat resistant cullet. Recycled aggregate was added to the batch. Samples for the need of testing were produced as (100 × 100 × 100) mm cubes. Before commencing proper tests, samples have been heated within the temperature range of 20–800 °C. Tests carried out during the proper testing procedure included tests of compressive strength, elevated temperature, impact strength, as well as macroscopic tests of the contact area. The obtained test results have provided proof of there being a possibility of producing special concrete, modified by products obtained from heat resistant cullet. This type of is generally characterized by satisfactory performance parameters. The average compressive strength for concrete modified by a 10% of heat resistant cullet was determined as 43.6 MPa and 48.3 MPa respectively after 28 and 180 days of curing.

RESUMO A preocupação frente aos impactos negativos resultantes da obtenção e produção de agregados naturais e do cimento na produção do concreto, bem como a possibilidade de escassez desses, acabaram alavancando a busca por materiais alternativos. Dentre esses materiais, diversos estudos já avaliaram a aplicação de subprodutos de diferentes setores industriais para a fabricação do concreto. Contudo, considerando a gama de resíduos existentes, sem ainda possuir algum valor agregado, torna-se interessante avaliá-los para essa finalidade. Para tanto, a avaliação do potencial desses materiais exige a aplicação de diferentes técnicas para análise de diversas propriedades que são desejáveis ou requeridas. Nesse sentido, essa revisão bibliográfica buscou reunir as principais técnicas e metodologias que são aplicadas para a identificação das principais características que possibilitem sua aplicação como substitutos parciais de agregados ou cimento, em misturas para a fabricação do concreto.

Traditional testing methods such as absorption test and permeability test are normally not providing accurate results of nature of concrete and there is a need for another type of test to predict the durability of concrete. In this work, industrial by-product like dolomite, marble dust and fly ash are utilized as fraction of cement replacing with 2%, 4%, 6%, 8%, and 10% dolomite, 10% fly ash and 10% marble dust by the weight of cement. The study is conducted on mix designed concrete of M30 grade and compared with conventional concrete. The specimens are casted and tested to examine various properties of concrete like compressive strength, split tensile strength, durability and sorptivity. Durability test is done by hydrochloric acid (HCl) and sulphuric acid (H2SO4 ) on dolomite powder, promising results were obtained in the sorptivity test which shows the dense nature of concrete by the usage of dolomite powder.
