Evaluation of changes in the locomotion and histology of sciatic nerve following experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis

Abstract: Introduction: Involvement of peripheral nerves in the experimental model of multiple sclerosis (MS) is rarely observed. The objective of this study was to investigate the changes in the locomotion in a mouse model of experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE) and correlate with histological changes, if any, in the sections of sciatic nerve and lumbar part of spinal cord. Material and Methods: C57BL/6 mice (10 weeks, n = 8) were immunized with single subcutaneous injection of 300 μg of MOG35-55 and 200 μL … Show more

“…Though traces from the new sector are difficult to be disclosed via the search at collider and the DM direct detection, the indirect search of the gamma-ray line from S 0 d 's decay has the potential to shed light on DM annihilations, with the energy of the gamma-ray line ∼ m S 0 d /2 (about 50−75 GeV). We look forward to more precise observations on the GC gamma-ray line, with the results from the Fermi-LAT [67], the Dark Matter Particle Explorer (DAMPE) [78], the Cherenkov Telescope Array (CTA) [79], the High Energy cosmic-Radiation Detection (HERD) [80,81] and the GAMMA-400 [82,83]. …”

“…The DArk Matter Particle Explorer (DAMPE) is a spacebased mission designed as a high energy particle detector measuring cosmic rays and γ-rays (Chang et al 2014;Chang et al 2017). The wide dynamical range of energy measurement (5 GeV−10 TeV for electrons/positrons and γ-rays), good energy resolution (1.5% @ 800 GeV for electrons/positrons and γ-rays), and powerful particle identification (PID) capability, make DAMPE one of the most sensitive detectors for indirect detection of dark matter (DAMPE Collaboration et al 2017;Yuan & Feng 2018).…”
