Abstract:Utilities of whey powder (WP) and whey protein concentrate 34% powder (WPC34) prepared as dairy-processing residues were evaluated using a green alga Chlamydomonas reinhardtii. Analysis of C. reinhardtii growth showed that the strain used WP and WPC34 as nitrogen sources.
