Abstract:Background: The association among ketotic or hyperglycemic conditions and cardiac arrhythmias and sudden death increases possibility that ketosis or hyperglycemia may directly disrupt cardiac repolarization and hence be reason for arrhythmia and sudden cardiac death in these cases.
