Evaluation of cadmium and zinc immissions around a zinc‐coating plant

Abstract: Cadmium and zinc immissions around a zinc coating plant were evaluated by analysis of these elements in grass samples. Applying cluster analysis, we were able to distinguish between two groups of data. Cadmium and zinc concentrations in these groups proved to be significantly different as shown by the Wilcoxon-Mann-Whitney test. Localities with elevated concentrations coincided with prevailing wind directions and were located near the suspected point emission source.
