Keeping the real estate cadastre’s database up to date is a very important process. The scope of the modernization works includes, among other things, fieldwork and office (chamber) work carried out by surveyors to update information about land and buildings. Therefore, modernization may result in changes to plot areas; changes to the marking of plots and land use (and, consequently, a change in the property tax); and the disclosure or deletion of buildings and premises, as well as changes to their technical data. The research, based on a case study (rural municipality Serniki, Poland), and supported by a literature review, remote sensing, and digital photogrammetry, clearly showed the importance of initiating the cadastre modernization procedure and obtaining funds for this purpose, which will be beneficial for both parties. Landowners will gain by bringing the current image of their real estate closer to the actual state (e.g., by paying taxes for the real utility of the land), while administrative units will become the beneficiaries of higher tax revenues (up to over 500%). Thus, the analysis carried out on the case study shows positive effects for both parties, and justifies the financial outlay incurred by the administrative units for this process. Moreover, the analysis revealed that, due to the possibility of obtaining funding from other sources, the cost to the public administration may be marginal. Thus, the cadastre modernization procedure should be integrated into regional and national policies.

Spatial Analysis has been used slnce the 1990s for hedonlc cadastral models of urban áreas ¡n large cities. Thls research alms to apply spatial analysis to zoning a dlstrlct ¡n Madrid located ¡n the central part of the city ¡n order to estímate urban housing prices. In dolng so, the necessary data have been gathered, both vector and ráster, as found on the official government webslte and prívate company websites. Thls was done firstly to analyse the characteristics and then for the objectlves of the study because it ¡s helpful to use these types of analyses based on vector and ráster data along with Interpolaron methods that obtaln regular structures and attempt to avold the subjective component ¡nherent to traditlonal procedures.The essence of the work conslsted of studying the mínimum parameters that ¡nfluence housing appralsals to resolve the problem. Normally, cadastral appralsal work fulfils the Official Technlcal Regulatlons in each country consldering a greater number of parameters and correctlve coefficients. The ¡mportance of this work conslsted of lowerlng and priorltislng the number of baslc parameters necessary to set urban housing prices. The concluslons section confirms a high llkellhood of successfully reduclng the number of parameters to achieve an appralsal valué that ¡s similar to the one obtalned using official methods.

Summer pasture Land management Cadastre Legalization TourismIn Turkey, according to Pasture Law, land allocated for farmers to spend the summer with their animals, graze their animals and benefit from grass is defined as "summer pasture (yaylak in Turkish)." Summer pasture is of national importance for its biodiversity, landscape, cultural heritage and transhumance. However, especially after 1990s, the summer pasture areas have been extensively used in tourism activities in Turkey. By changing land use, the increasing tourism activities combined with legal uncertainties and the legalization policies have caused summer pasture areas transferred into built-up areas. The effect of the tourism and legalization policies on the land use changes in summer pasture areas was evaluated in this study. It was determined that Turkey's tourism and legalization policies have adverse effect on sustainable use of summer pasture areas. These policies aimed at economic development and solving property problems of rural areas caused new legal problems and expansion of built-up areas. A better land use policy and an effective control mechanism are necessary for the sustainable use of summer pasture areas.
