Today, in order to meet the increasing energy needs, sustainable and renewable energy production methods are needed in addition to the existing energy sources. Especially taking into consideration the husbandry potential of our country, biogas and energy production through the use of animal waste have emerged as an efficient alternative of production. In this study, the amount of electrical energy that can be produced using cattle manure in the Isparta region was calculated. The husbandry data used in these calculations were obtained from the database of the Turkish Statistical Institute. The potential amount of manure that can be obtained from all of the cattle in the Isparta region was determined as 1,117,002.08 tons. The amount of existing potential manure that can be collected and used for electricity generation was determined as 558,501.03 tons. The amount of biogas to be obtained as a result of the use of animal manure in biogas plants was determined as 12,815,682.93 m 3 . The amount of electrical energy that can be produced by using the obtained biogas was calculated as 60,233.71 MW. This electrical energy, obtained as a result of the calculations, will be able to meet 6.00% of the electricity needs of Isparta Province annually.

Hayvancılık işletmelerinde en önemli sorun gübredir. Üretim yoğunluğunun artmasıyla birlikte gübre miktarının da artması, sorunu daha ciddi boyutlara getirmektedir. Gübrenin depolanması, yönetimi, işletilmesi süreci doğru bir şekilde planlanmadığı ve uygulanmadığı takdirde yer altı ve yüzey su kaynaklarında ciddi çevresel problemleri tetiklemektedir. Bu sebeple gübre kirlilik yükünün belirlenmesi, etkilerinin iyi analiz edilmesi, bunları önlemeye yönelik doğru stratejilerin uygulanması açısından oldukça önemlidir. Bu çalışmada Bursa ilinin son on yıldaki kanatlı üretiminden kaynaklanan gübrenin oluşturduğu atık miktarının ve kirlilik yükünün belirlenerek değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Yapılan çalışmanın sonuçlarına göre Bursa ilinin kanatlı üretiminden kaynaklanan kirlilik potansiyelinin en fazla olduğu ilçeler Karacabey ve Mustafakemalpaşa, en düşük olduğu ilçe ise Gürsu olmuştur. Yumurta tavukçuluğunun, et tavukçuluğu ve hindi yetiştiriciliği ile kıyaslandığında yayılı kirlilik potansiyelinin daha fazla olduğu belirlenmiştir. Kirlilik potansiyelinin %88’ini azot kirliliği oluştururken, %12’sini ise fosfor kirliliği oluşturmaktadır.

All over the world, the demand for renewable energy sources is increasing day by day both to meet the increasing energy demand and to reduce environmental problems. Our country has a rich biomass potential in terms of biogas energy, which is one of these resources. In study, it is aimed to develop locally sustainable solutions by determining the biogas energy potential from the waste amount resulting from animal enterprises in Iğdır province and its districts. The number of cattle, small ruminant and poultry for the province of Iğdır for 2020 is 157 426; 1 279 203 and 265 173, respectively. Biogas amount that can be produced annually from the manure of animals is calculated as 43 952 304 m 3 , the amount of heat energy as 1 032 879 GJ and the amount of electrical energy as 114 716 MWh. It has been determined that in the central district where it has the highest annual electricity generation potential for Iğdır province, 55 367 MWh and in the Karakoyunlu district where it has the lowest electricity generation potential, it has been determined that 15 366 MWh electricity can be produced. In addition, it has been calculated that by using biogas energy, which is one of the renewable energy sources, instead of fossil fuels throughout Iğdır, it is calculated that carbon savings can be achieved by preventing the emission of 78 465 tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually. In particular, global warming caused by greenhouse gas emissions should be reduced by using clean energy sources. With the establishment of these environmentally friendly facilities, organic wastes that cause environmental problems will be evaluated and made harmless and greenhouse gas emissions will be reduced. In addition, the energy produced from these facilities will protect natural resources and support sustainable development by contributing to the national economy.
