Abstract: Clove leaves contain antioxidant compounds such as saponins, flavonoids, tannins, sterols, and essential oils. Among those chemical constituents, eugenol, eugenol acetate, caryophyllene, and sesquiterpenes were believed to have aphrodisiac activity.
