Evaluation of antihypertensive and vasorelaxant effects of Heimia salicifolia (family: Lythraceae)

Abstract: There are reports of the presence of vasodilatory alkaloids in Heimia salicifolia extracts. The action mechanisms of the potential antihypertensive effect of such alkaloids have not however, been elucidated.
