Evaluation of Anti-fibrotic effect of Lagerstroemia Speciosa (L) pers. on Carbon Tetrachloride Induced Liver Fibrosis

Abstract: This study was carried out to investigate the effect of alcoholic extract of Lagerstroemia speciosa (L) pers. against carbon tetrachloride (CCl 4) induced liver fibrosis in male albino Wistar rats (150-200gm). Liver fibrosis was induced by twice/week administration of CCl 4 at a dose of 1ml/kg body weight, mixed with an equal volume of corn oil.
