Evaluation of an endosulfan tolerant strain of Trichogramma chilonis on cotton

Abstract: The performance of an endosulfan tolerant strain of Trichogramma chilonis Ishii was evaluated against Helicoverpa armigera (Hübner) eggs on cotton plants in a net house. Under pesticide pressure, the tolerant strain could provide significantly higher parasitism in comparison to the susceptible strain. The parasitoid adult emergence was also significantly higher in the treatment with the tolerant strain in comparison to the susceptible strain, when parasitoids were released within 3 days of endosulfan spraying.… Show more
