Abstract:Currently, Magnetic Resonance arthrography procedures require two rooms and two imaging modalities: fluoroscopically guided needle insertion in a fluoroscopy suite, followed by diagnostic MRI in a separate MRI suite. The use of fluoroscopy for needle placement exposes patients to ionizing radiation, which is an important concern, especially in pediatrics.
