Abstract: The purpose of this study was to develop and evaluate a skill training aimed at increasing the social competence of caregivers of nursing home residents suffering from dementia. Herewith, the professional burden and occupational stress of the caregivers should be reduced and the quality of life of dementia patients should be increased.
