Evaluation and Correlation of Bite Force With Electromyography (EMG) Activity Before and After Rehabilitation of the First Molar With an Implant-Supported Prosthesis

Abstract: BackgroundPrevalence of tooth loss significantly increases as age advances. The permanent first molar is regarded as the key to proper occlusion and, thus, its loss causes significant deterioration of the functioning of the masticatory apparatus and overall stomatognathic system. It not only affects the occlusal integrity but also the activity of surrounding tissues and muscles.
