Abstract:The oil ash radioactive waste was generated from electrical power plants and it was presented great concern due to environmental impact. In this study oil ash was characterized from technical and radiological aspects. Oil ash average activity concentrations for 226Ra, 232Th, and 40K were (1718 ± 85.9, 278.1 ± 13.9, and 136 ± 6.7) Bq/kg respectively, that were higher than the worldwide average.
