Evaluation & Comparison of Single Dose Oral Treatment of Uncomplicated Gonococcal Urethritis in Males with Talampicillin & Minocycline

Abstract: A comparison has been made of the relative efficiency of Talampicillin and Minocycline given as single doses orally in the treatment of uncomplicated acute gonococcal urethritis in the male. One hundred and fifteen patients were given Talampicillin I.5Gm and of these II (9.6010) defaulted and were excluded. One hundred and thirty eight patients received 300mg Minocycline and of these 12 (8.7%) defaulted and were excluded.
