Abstract: Purpose of review Tranexamic acid (TXA) has emerged as a promising pharmacological adjunct to treat and prevent postpartum hemorrhage (PPH). We provide an overview of TXA, including its pharmacology, key findings of randomized trials and observational studies, and critical patient safety information.
