“…Additionally, α-Bisabolol exhibited a more potent growth inhibition for Fusarium oxysporum with low minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) when compared with NaCl. The combination of both α-Bisabolol and NaCl resulted in an eightfold reduction in NaCl MIC, indicating a favorable synergism aimed to decrease administered antifungal agent [ 104 ]. On the other hand, α-Bisabolol was evaluated for an antiparasitic activity on Trypanosoma cruzi , where it was indicated that, α-Bisabolol induces cell death in Trypanosoma cruzi by triggering apoptosis, increasing ROS production, causing mitochondrial transmembrane potential dysfunction, and inhibiting tcGAPDH enzyme; detected by docking study which revealed that α-Bisabolol occupies the same site as chalepin (known inhibitor of tcGAPDH) does [ 105 ].…”

“…Α-Bisabolol is an essential oil containing monocyclic sesquiterpene alcohol that was first identified and extracted from Matricaria chamomilla [7]. It has been used commonly as a fragrance ingredient in cosmetics and personal care product formulations due to its significant biological properties such as anti-inflammatory, anti-irritant, anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, and anti-fungal activities [8]. In addition, α-bisabolol is used in the formulation of a wide variety of products, including facial makeup, skincare, and hair care products.…”

“…En los últimos años se ha incrementado el interés por métodos alternativos para control de estos patógenos, principalmente en el periodo de almacenamiento y/o conservación, como el uso de antioxidantes y aceites esenciales, que han presentado prometedores resultados por la capacidad de reducción y/o inhibición del crecimiento fúngico y por consiguiente la producción de micotoxinas (2,13,14,15) .…”
