Show more

“…As the result, agricultural crops samples were processed and examined using a low‐cost microscope for phyllosphere microbes. Drought tolerant bacterial species have been isolated from the phyllosphere of rice and the isolates were neatly observed using foldscope (Kumar et al, 2019).…”

“…Foldscope probably helps in epidemiologic studies for identifying taxonomic representations and important anatomical structures of Rhipicephalus sanguineus ticks on the field (Parada‐Sánchez et al, 2018). Foldscopes can also be used to teach aspiring young farmers about sanitary animal livestock farming (Jayashree et al, 2020; Surla et al, 2021) by detecting the presence of fungal contamination, parasite eggs, and insect vectors in feedstuffs, as well as assisting horticulturists in observing and identifying plant microbes (Sharma & Abbiramy, 2020) as shown in Figure 2e.…”

“…In an animal health-related study, Parada-Sánchez et al used the Foldscope to support taxonomic identification of Rhipicephalus sanguineus ticks in the field (Figure 4). They found that Foldscope is indeed useful for epidemiological studies in the field and for social outreach programs aimed at raising awareness about vector-borne diseases [2].
