European Communities: Court of Justice Opinion 1/94 Concerning the Competence of the European Community to Conclude International Agreements Concerning Services and the Protection of Intellectual Property - Article 228(6) of the EC Treaty
Abstract:While in strict legal terms the opinion on the EEA only lightly touches the competence issue, it is central to the issue where the Community institutions and Community law stands with respect to third countries. The judgment regarding the antitrust cooperation and the opinions on the participation at ILO conferences and on the WTO competence, on the other hand, concern straight forward the scope of the external competence of the European Communities.
