Effects of herbal medicines (Eunkyosan/Yin qiao san and Samsoeum/Shen su yin) for treating the common cold: A randomized, placebo-controlled, multicenter clinical trial

“…A recent systematic review 17 analyzed four clinical studies that explored the effectiveness of EKS for the common cold. Although some included studies in review 3 , 4 , 5 reported that EKS was effective for the common cold, they compared it with conventional medicine, not a placebo and all of included studies 3 , 4 , 5 , 7 did not use outcome measurements that were validated for reliability and validity, so the review concluded that the quality of the studies was relatively low.…”
