Eu-doped (Y0.85−xLa0.15)2O3sesquioxide transparent ceramics for high-spatial-resolution X-ray imaging

Abstract: (Y0.85−xLa0.15)2O3:xEu transparent ceramics have good sensitivity, low detection limits and excellent spatial resolution (18.0 lp mm−1), presenting great potential for high-resolution X-ray imaging applications.

“…Detection limits were as low as 152 nGy/s, approximately 36 times lower than a standard dosage for an X-ray diagnostic (5.5 μGy/s). For comparison (Figure S10), the detection limits for BGO that we measured were 835 nGy/s (similar to some references). , …”

“…For comparison (Figure S10), the detection limits for BGO that we measured were 835 nGy/ s (similar to some references). 37,38 The above results indicate that the CsPbBr 3 NWs/PM597 composite has the technical advantage of obtaining efficient and fast scintillation in the orange-yellow spectral region, which helps to compensate for the absence of standard scintillation crystals in this band, and has the potential to produce susceptible and high-resolution orange-yellow light scintillation displays. It is reasonable to utilize the ET process to expand the CsPbBr 3 NWs' RL to the red light band.…”

“…2d), and the RL intensity after irradiation remained more than 93% of the detection efficiency, which implies a comparatively excellent irradiation stability. 32 The luminescence intensity of the Cs 2 NaScCl 6 :7%Sm crystals increases slightly with time because such crystals have a certain afterglow phenomenon in which the crystals absorb some of the radiant energy. In addition, variable-temperature X-ray tests were performed for the afterglow phenomenon of Cs 2 NaScCl 6 :7%Sm.…”

“…In recent years, the demand for wearable electronic devices has grown exponentially, especially in the fields of human motion detection and health monitoring. 1 To date, a great deal of research has been conducted in developing smart wearable devices consisting of various materials such as carbon-based films, 2,3 thermoplastic elastomers, [4][5][6] and multifunctional hydrogels. [7][8][9] These devices monitor human movements by detecting changes of electrical signals generated from the mechanical deformation of materials.…”
