SUMMARY:Viscoelastic properties of polybutene-I-polypropene blends were… Show more

“…Furthermore, the G′ and G″ of the blend were located between those of the individual pure components, as similarly reported in previous works . Because there is no additional relaxation mechanism with a long characteristic time, the blend is considered to be miscible in the molten state as reported previously …”

“…The miscibility of PP and PB has been studied for a long time . Piloz et al evaluated the dynamic mechanical properties of PP/PB blends and found that both polymer chains dissolve into each other in the amorphous region .…”

“…The state of the miscibility of the blends in the molten state affects the final performance and is attractive to industries. There is ample research about the miscibility and compatibility of different kinds of polyolefins, such as various types of polyethylene and PP/PB‐1 blends . Polyethylene blends were reported to be miscible, partially miscible, or immiscible depending on molecular parameters, such as molecular weight, molecular weight distribution, branch content, and composition .…”

“…It is generally accepted that, miscibility in polymer blends must be supported by the existence of specific interactions between the components. The miscibility and compatibility of PP and PB‐1 blends was the subject of various studies 6, 7–9. It has been reported that there are not any specific interactions between PP and PB‐1 in the blends, and the balance between dispersive and entropic driving force implies miscibility in some compositions 10.…”
