“…Impulsiveness and sensation seeking are well‐known predictors of speeding (Sârbescu & Rusu, 2021) and French driving offenders who participated in three or more driver's rehabilitation programs within 5 years were found to be impulsive and have a high tendency towards sensation seeking (Weber et al, 2014). Sensation seeking increases aggressive anger expression, road‐traffic crashes (Delhomme et al, 2012; Olandoski et al, 2019), and violations (de Winter et al, 2018), and is positively correlated with ticketed offenses (Zhang et al, 2019), while impulsiveness seems to predict more violations (Bıçaksız & Özkan, 2016b), aggressive driving, and speeding (Berdoulat et al, 2018). Driving entails many interactions with other road users and can generate strong negative emotions (stress, fear, anxiety, anger, etc.,).…”

“…Psychopathic traits, impulsiveness and sensation seeking have all been found to be positive predictors of the tendency to feel anger while driving and to express this anger in an aggressive manner (verbally, physically, or through the use of the vehicle) (Ball et al, 2018; Berdoulat et al, 2018; Olandoski et al, 2019). Psychopathic traits tend to decrease drivers' ability to express their anger in a constructive and adaptive way (through anger management strategies) (Burtăverde et al, 2016).…”
