Etiological profile of benign esophageal stricture and its management with through-the-scope endoscopic balloon dilation in the western region of Nepal
Abstract:Background: Benign esophageal stricture is a common cause of dysphagia with a considerable morbidity and endoscopic balloon dilatation (EBD) is a minimally invasive modality for its treatment. The aim of present study was to determine the etiology of benign esophageal stricture and to evaluate the role of EBD in its management in the western region of Nepal.
