Etiological Factors for Developing Carpal Tunnel Syndrome in People Who Work With Computers

Abstract: StreszczenieWstęp: Zespół cieśni nadgarstka (ZCN) jest najczęściej występującą mononeuropatią kończyn górnych. Materiał i metody: Badaniem objęto 60 pacjentów -58 kobiet i 2 mężczyzn (śred-nia wieku: 53,8±6,35… Show more

“…All latencies were measured up to the onset of CMAP and the initial negative peak of SNAP. As regards NCS parameters, the normal values for age were based on a previous study of healthy subjects recruited from NIOM's staff and other volunteers [17]. The abnormal values were defined as more than 2 standard deviations of the normal mean values.…”

“…All latencies were measured to the onset of the compound muscle action potential (CMAP) and the initial negative peak of the sensory action potential (SNAP). Normal values of the NCS standard parameters for age were based on a previous local population study of healthy subjects consisting of some of the NIOM staff and volunteers (enlisted earlier for clinical practice and research studies [21]). Abnormal values were defined as > 2 standard deviations of normal mean values.…”
