“…In recent years, formulations with ethosomes have been used to increase the uptake of active components in topical formulations. This can also increase the uptake of fragrance chemicals and other constituents in such products, as has been shown both experimentally and clinically [112][113][114][115]. In these studies, encapsulating contact allergens in ethosomes gave an increase in the challenge response compared to the same concentrations in an ethanol/water base without ethosomes.…”

“…Care must be taken that new topical formulations will not increase the formation and uptake of sensitizing oxidation products. Ethosomes, which are used to enhance the uptake of active components in topical formulations, have also been shown to enhance the uptake of fragrance chemicals .…”

“…Ethosome is superior to other vesicular systems. It can hold more drugs, penetrate deeper into the skin, trap molecules of varying lipophilicity, and are non-toxic for both in vivo and in vitro studies (42)(43)(44)(45)(46). Ethosome is effective in occlusive and non-occlusive conditions and works well for dermal, transdermal, and intracellular delivery.…”
