Ethnopolitical Conflicts and the Problem of Regional Security in the Caucasus

Abstract

The aim of the chapter is to determine the security risk factors in the region, assess the existing risks, and analyze the vision and security strategies of the countries in the region. This will allow the authors to find how realistically the states of the region perceive the threats and risks that may be a problem for the security of the Caucasus region, the degree of coherence in the perception and assessment of these risks and challenges by the states, and the foreign policy course. They create a framework to ensure peace and development in the Caucasus.
