Estudo pareado da cardiopatia chagásica no Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil

Abstract: São estudados 666 pares de indivíduos, sendo 344 masculinos e 322 femininos, com sorologia positiva/negativa para doença de Chagas, obtidos em inquérito sorológico-eletrocardiográfico entre populações rurais não selecionadas de 17 municípios do sul Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil. “…Macedo (Macedo, 1982) después de analizar 1.546 trazados electrocardiográficos de pacientes serorreactivos para la enfermedad de Chagas en Río Grande do Sul, Brasil, encontró un 24,5% de alteraciones. Años después, en un estudio similar realizado en el mismo estado, Baruffa (Baruffa, 1985) analizando 803 pacientes seropositivos halló una prevalencia de trastornos electrocardiográficos del 30,2%.
