Abstract:RESUMOA mastite é uma inflamação no úbere ou glândulas mamárias, de etiologia complexa, infecciosa ou não infecciosa, e multifatorial, resultante da interação entre o animal, ambiente e agentes etiológicos. Essa é classificada de acordo com as manifestações clínicas, ou seja, caso os sinais de inflamação sejam evidentes, é chamada de 'mastite clínica', em contrapartida, quando os sinais não são evidentes, é denominada de 'mastite subclínica'.
