Estudo Comparativo Sobre a Interdisciplinaridade Na Obra De Hilton Japiassu E Ivani Fazenda

Abstract

Interdisciplinarity, as a fundamental approach to contemporary practices in higher education, has been engendering substantial debates. For this reason, we conducted a study on this subject in the works of Hilton Japiassu and Ivani Fazenda. The results pointed to the agreement on its origin, barriers and links between disciplines and subjects, the need for a methodological guideline, the monodisciplinary limit and the linguistic and epistemological barriers. The differences are based on the focus of the concept, the categorization of other obstacles and the fact that Japiassu establishes method, characteristics and modalities not mentioned by Fazenda. We consider that Japiassu discusses, broadly, interdisciplinarity in multiple aspects, while Fazenda holds on philosophical issues of the individual. Both works complement each other.
