“…Although several studies (Boyd et al, 2014;Herrera-Guzman et al, 2004;Quental et al, 2013;Warrington and James, 1991) mentioned age as a key socio-demographical factor affecting the performance on Silhouettes sub-test in normal aging and AD, there was still evidence to support us. A Spanish normative study showed age had no effect on Silhouettes test in cognitive normal adults (Calvo et al, 2013). We also speculate that due to the cultural revolution in China, some younger adults didn't receive systematic education like the older ones, which may lead to lower score of Silhouettes-A and weaken the influence of age.…”

“…The largest study of adults in the USA was Mayo’s Older African Americans Normative Studies (MOAANS; e.g., Ferman et al., 2005 ; Harris et al., 2002 ; Lucas et al., 2005 ). However, the NEURONORMA project ( Aranciva et al., 2012 ; Calvo et al., 2013 ; Casals-Coll et al., 2013 ; Casals-Coll et al., 2014 ; García-Escobar et al., 2021 ; Palomo et al., 2013 ; Peña-Casanova et al., 2009 ) was the most well-represented for the Spanish-speaking adult population together with the Alegret study ( Alegret et al., 2012 ) and NORMALATINA-Adults project published in a special issue by Arango-Lasprilla ( Arango-Lasprilla, 2015 ; Guardia-Olmos et al., 2015 ). Within children’s studies in 2017, a group led by Arango-Lasprilla and Rivera conducted the NORMALATINA-Children project, which was the most relevant ND study for Spanish-speaking children (aged 6–17) from Latin America and Spain published in a special issue ( Arango-Lasprilla & Rivera, 2017 ; Rivera & Arango-Lasprilla, 2017 ).…”
