Abstract: Los gasterópodos del género Megalobulimus Miller, 1878 son endémicos de Sudamérica y forman parte de los pulmonados terrestres más grandes del mundo. La mayoría de sus especies y subespecies fueron descriptas originalmente sobre la base de caracteres conquiliológicos, siendo en la actualidad la única información disponible para la delimitación de un gran número de ellas.
