RESUMENEstudio observacional, descriptivo y analí-tico que buscó identificar la prevalencia de violencia del compañero íntimo (VCI) en mujeres embarazadas y clasificarla según tipo y frecuencia e identificar los resultados obstétricos y neonatales y su asociación con la ocurrencia de VCI en el embarazo actual. La recolección de datos se realizó por medio de entrevistas estructuradas y la revisión del historial médico de 232 mujeres que recibieron atención prenatal en un hospital público. El análisis se realizó con el programa estadístico SAS® 9.0. Se encontró que el 15,5% de las participantes sufrió VCI durante el embarazo, de éstas el 14,7% sufrió violencia psicológica, el 5,2% violencia física y el 0,4% violencia sexual. Las mujeres que no deseaban el embarazo tenían más probabilidades de experimentar VCI (p <0.00, OR=4,32 y IC 95% [1,77 -10,54]). No se encontró asociación estadísticamente significativa entre la VCI y las repercusiones obstétricas y neonatales. Se concluyó que, para las participantes del estudio, no hubo repercusiones negativas relacionadas con la VCI. Foi desenvolvido com 232 gestantes que realizaram acompanhamento pré-natal em uma maternidade pública. Os dados foram coletados por entrevista estruturada e nos prontuários e analisados com o programa SAS® 9.0. Entre as participantes, 15,5% sofreram VPI durante a gestação, sendo que 14,7% sofreram violência psicológica, 5,2%, violência física e 0,4%, violência sexual. Objective: to identify the main health problems in the territories of the Family Health Strategy in the view of communitarian agents of health from Montes Claros, Minas Gerais, Brazil. Methods: this was a quantitative, transversal, and census based study. The data collection took place through a semi-structured questionnaire applied to community health agents (CHA) linked to the Family Health Strategy. The research was approved by the Research Ethics Committee from the Montes Claros State University (Unimontes) under the protocol number 1966-10. Results: 241 agents participated in the study. The majority (97.5%) declared knowing the health situation in the territory. Regarding the most common health problems in the community, agents pointed out diseases of the respiratory system (82.40%) in children, chemical dependency (23.56%) in adolescents; and hypertension in adults and elders, in 77.25% and 79.16%, respectively. Conclusion: most community health agents know the health situation of the territories in which they operate. The identification of the main health problems was highlighted according to the cycle of life of the population. The local diagnosis from the CHA, as key informants, contributes to set priorities and establish goals and objectives for tackling problems in the territories of Family Health.

Perceptions about the Unified Health System among users and health professionals in the city of Santa Cruz-RN RESUMOObjetivo: Avaliar o nível de conhecimento de usuários e profissionais de saúde sobre o Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS), destacando as perspectivas para o fomento cidadão na participação das políticas de saúde. Métodos: Estudo descritivo e exploratório, com abordagem qualitativa, desenvolvido entre abril e julho de 2010 por meio de entrevistas semiestruturadas com 23 sujeitos, entre eles, 4 profissionais de saúde e 19 usuários, os quais residiam em uma área da Estratégia Saúde da Família do município de Santa Cruz-RN, Brasil. Os dados coletados foram analisados pelo método de análise temática, uma das modalidades da análise de conteúdo, através das etapas de leitura e exploração do material, criação de categorias e articulação delas com referenciais teóricos. Resultados: A pesquisa mostrou que existem diferenças entre o conhecimento dos usuários e dos profissionais de saúde, pois, enquanto estes citaram críticas com base nos princípios do SUS legalmente instituídos, os usuários demonstraram desconhecer o SUS, conceituando-o como o Cartão Nacional de Saúde. Os discursos dos participantes apontaram para dificuldades no acesso à saúde e para uma carência de atividades educativas em saúde, o que pode tornar difícil o desenvolvimento de práticas democráticas nas políticas desse setor. Conclusões: O SUS constituiu um avanço na atenção à saúde brasileira, mas ainda há entraves para a consolidação de um sistema universal, integrado e equânime. Nessa perspectiva, para contribuir na efetivação do sistema público de saúde, destaca-se a importância da união dos diversos atores sociais (educadores, gestores e profissionais da saúde ), bem como da educação em saúde para o fortalecimento da participação popular.
