Show more

“…The variables described before, were taken from (Spekman et al , 1998; Kanda and Deshmukh, 2008; Arshinder et al , 2011; Mergarejo and Ruíz, 2014; Vivares Vergara, 2017; Lockamy III and McCormack, 2004; Gutierrez et al , 2018), among other authors. It was intended to group the variables these authors define as determinants at every stage of the process.…”

“…These five levels contain each of the characteristics associated with the maturity process (such as predictability, capacity, control, effectiveness and efficiency), and the definition of the measurement scale identified as: ad hoc, basic administration of the chain, SCOR linked to the chain, SCOR integrated to the chain and finally the expanded SCOR, as the highest state of maturity. On the other hand, for (Díaz and Ortiz, 2012 cited in Vivares Vergara, 2017) the maturity model deals with the structured definition of elements that indicate the particularities of a product or process at a time in time that allows establishing the state of its evolution for reach a mature state defined as the ideal, where it achieves a maximum level of performance.…”

“…Similar results must be found in different contexts to provide evidence that the measurements capture the same phenomena even if applied to other areas. Thus far, a few studies mentioned the work by Jain et al (2014) but none replicated their working method (Guo et al, 2015;Jain et al, 2016;Vivares-Vergara et al, 2015). Based on that work, we propose the following questions: Does the instrument proposed by Jain et al (2014) to measure manufacturing capabilities present a valid and reliable result in a context different from that originally analyzed by its authors?…”
