Abstract:RESUMO O oxiurídeo Protozoophaga obesa apresentou altas prevalência e intensidade de infecção em 27 sistemas digestivos dissecados de capivaras, Hydrochaeris hydrochaeris, criadas em regime semiintensivo, em Santo Antônio da Patrulha, RS. Este helminto foi encontrado em 94,44% dos animais examinados, com intensidade média de 709 espécimes.
