Abstract: The estrogen sensitivity of Lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM)—a rare lung disease involving the slow growth of smooth muscle-like adenomas that result in cystic change in the lung parenchyma—is traditionally examined to assess the direct effects of estradiol on the tumor cells.
