The impermeabilization of the soil by concrete and asphalt, resulting from the urbanization process, has caused the loss of natural vegetation. These modifications have contributed to the increase in the emission of greenhouse gases (GHGs), in particular carbon dioxide (CO2). Although it is still portrayed today, it is not new that the global concern about climate change has gained prominence on the international political agenda, as an example, the United Nations Conference on the Environment and Development (Rio 92), Kyoto Protocol (1997) and more recently, the Paris Agreement (2015). All of these having as main objectives, the achievement of sustainable development and the reduction of global warming. Given this, green roofs stand out as a promising alternative for cities, given that they have many environmental, ecological and economic advantages, such as, for example, in the reduction of rainwater runoff, mitigation of urban heat island phenomena, creating spaces for the creation of food in urban areas, providing a natural habitat for animals and plants, in addition to reducing atmospheric carbon dioxide, through carbon sequestration. Although the topic "carbon sequestration" is studied all over the world, little is known about carbon sequestration in green roofs. Therefore, this article brings a critical and current bibliographic review on this subject.

This work is a scientometric analysis of articles published in journals related to the subject “Dipteryx alata, Baru and Brazilian savanna” in its main area of occurrence, the Brazilian savanna biome. The proposal was to draw a scientometric profile related to the aforementioned topic, which is a key species with enormous potential for socio-environmental development, presenting the panorama of the state of knowledge and the main areas of research until the year 2021. A total of 205 articles that had baru as the focus of the study were found, having been published in 114 journals between 1988 and 2021. The area of biotechnology had the greatest representation, followed by ecology. In the area of biotechnology, research had different approaches, such as the nutritional part of the development of new products for the industry, highlighting the importance and plasticity for the use of the species, as a potential product for socio-environmental development, and for some communities, mainly those formed by small family units, it is an important element in complementing the source of income. Another important point of the species is its potential use for the recovery of degraded areas, due to its morphophysiological characteristics, which, in addition to helping in sustainable production and productivity, have a broad, complex and highly important ecological relationship to the Brazilian savanna ecosystem.

“…feira do agricultor familiar localizada na sede do município, a feira da Vila do Juaba que fica a 26,3 km da cidade e a Feira da Vila do Carmo a 24.2 km da zona urbana, todas elas acontecem nos fins de semanas e cumprem um papel importante na economia local.Analisando o nível de escolaridade (Figura 2), constatou-se que na feira da Vila do Juaba a maioria dos feirantes possuem apenas o 1° Grau Incompleto 92,9%, com menores índices nas feiras da Vila do Carmo (50%) e (42,85%) na feira do centro de Cametá, o que e corrobora com os resultadosde Silva et al (2017) no qual as feiras livres, geralmente, são alternativas de trabalho para pessoas com baixa escolaridade.…”

O livro com o título de "Agroecologia: métodos e técnicas para uma agricultura sustentável" foi organizado pelos docentes do ifbaiano Dra. Carla da Silva Sousa, Dr. Francisco de Sousa Lima e Dra. Saionara Cotrim Sabioni. No volume 5 da obra, constam trabalhos que relatam vivências pessoais ou experiências científicas nas mais variadas áreas da Agroecologia e regiões geográficas do Brasil. Os capítulos apresentam linguagem de fácil compreensão, o que facilita o entendimento de estudantes, agricultores e extensionistas rurais. Além disso, divulgam temas relevantes que promovem a ampliação dos saberes camponeses, favorecendo à produção de alimentos saudáveis, o desenvolvimento econômico no meio rural e a preservação dos recursos naturais. Os organizadores consideram que é uma obra de impacto positivo na área de agricultura sustentável e agradecem aos autores que apresentaram e divulgaram suas experiências nessa obra.
