Estimation of the Quick Charging Station for Electric Vehicles based on Location and Population Density Data

Abstract: This paper has presented the estimation methodology of the quick charging station for electric vehicles (EVs) based on both area and population density data. The proportion of EV owners per number of population in location data; is also used to compute the number of the quick charging stations. The population density data and proportion of EVs owners per number of population in area data are varied from 1 to 6 % and 0.01 to 0.8 %, respectively. The simulation results showed that the number of EVs stations incr… Show more

“…Number of quick charging stations also will affect the trend of population growth [26]. Tradeoffs between battery capacity, charging infrastructure coverage, and charging power should be addressed since development of charging stations infrastructures are not an easy matter.…”

“…The reliability evaluation of a distribution network by combined with distribution generator(DG), battery storage(BS) and electric vehicles(EVs) revealed EVs in discharging mode or V2G technology can be supply the power to grids and the EVs should be controlled in limits on recharging mode for increasing high reliability from the evaluation [15]. Consequently, the PEVs can be reduced the impact from charging mode in same time or in same power transmission line by using the V2G technology and combined with smart grids control [1,[16][17][18][19][20][21]. The smart grids control concept are need to manage in optimal condition all relevance; such as power sources, transmission system, distribution system, user benefits and economics [22][23][24].…”

“…Due to the high output voltage and current of 500 V and 200 A, 80% of the EV battery can be charged within 30 minutes. The charging stations installation costs of this mode are high and they cause overload of the distribution network [11].…”
